7th July was the final day of our most recent 'Eat Well, Live Well' program. We celebrated the completion with a special lunch that was prepared by the community members.
It was so wonderful to see the amazing bonds these men have made over their time together in this program.
One of the participants said, "We've had some really top quality education and I was really impressed with that. But the fundamental thing that makes the biggest difference is to have the opportunity as positive people to come together, build relationships and build this sense of community. Thank you to BGF for helping us do that."
Aaron Cogle, Executive Director of NAPWHA came along to present certificates and share a few words about the importance of this program. He said, "It's projects like this that really help boost quality of life for positive people."
This is one of our most popular Health & Wellbeing Programs for PLHIV. It covers not just nutrition and eating more healthily, but also exercise physiology, HIV & gut health, dietetics and sleep management.
If you're a person living with HIV and are interested in the Eat Well, Live Well program, please email Ruan Uys to express your interest.
Finally, a big thank you to our community partners, The Albion Centre, Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre, NAPWHA, Positive Life NSW and to Stephen Lunny for running an amazing program.
